Penny
Woodman

Penny
began her dance
training at the
age of 3 at her
local school in
Horsham, and completed
her professional
and teaching qualifications
with Elizabeth
Hodgson (a senior
examiner with
the ISTD).
She
also studied modern
languages and
began her career
as a bilingual
P.A., working
both in this country
and France, but
returned to her
first love of
dance some 10
years ago, when
she began teaching
at the Art of
Dance Studios
in Middleton.
She has taught
at several other
schools in Sussex
since then, including
the Drusilla Duffill
Theatre School
in Burgess Hill.
Penny is thrilled
to be joining
the teaching staff
at Nicola Miles
Studios from September
2002.
Penny
enjoys choreography
and past successes
include 42nd Street
and Carousel at
the Hawth Theatre,
Crawley; West
Side Story at
the Pavilion Theatre,
Worthing; as well
as Bugsy Malone
and Alice in Wonderland
for DTS Junior
Section at the
Northbrook Theatre,
Worthing. Another
project was La
Cage aux Folles,
which performed
at the Theatre
Royal, Brighton.
She
is married to
John and their
9-year old daughter,
Lindsay, attends
classes at the
school.
